Petina Gappah

Petina Gappah is a Zimbabwean writer and lawyer. Her debut story collection, An Elegy for Easterly, was awarded the Guardian First Book Prize in 2009. Her debut novel, The Book of Memory, was awarded the McKitterick Prize and longlisted for the Baileys Prize in 2016. A story from her new collection, Rotten Row, has been published by The New Yorker while another was shortlisted for the Sunday Times EFG Short Story Award.
